Historic renovation of these three-story brick façade rowhomes include code upgrades, energy-efficient improvements, masonry restoration, historic window replacement, roofing, new mechanical plumbing & electrical systems, and all new finishes. All renovations will comply with the Secretary of the Interior Standards for Historic Restoration and will be approved by the National Park Service. Funding provided by Pennsylvania Housing and Finance Agency (PHFA) and First Trust Bank.
Project finished in October 2011 four months early and achieved LEED Platinum certification. Temple II N. Gratz St. is now considered the largest gut rehab project awarded LEED Platinum in the nation.
This project was highlighted at GreenBuild2012 in San Francisco.
