Brad Springer joins MBC as Lead Estimator

McDonald Building Company is proud to welcome Brad Springer to our team as Lead Estimator.  Brad joins us with over 10 years of estimating experience with an extensive concentration in the healthcare, institutional and pharmaceutical industries.  In his current role, Brad will be taking the lead here in the Estimating Department. 

Project highlights include an $82mm hospital expansion at Paoli Memorial Hospital along with their $13.5mm new parking garage addition.  Brad also recently estimated and purchased a $3mm operating room renovation at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the new $15mm Nursing School at Widener University. 

Brad is a Civil Engineering graduate of Drexel University and is a LEED® Green Associate.

McDonald Building Company welcomes John Ambrose as Project Manager

McDonald Building Company is proud to welcome John Ambrose to our team as Project Manager.  John joins us from both the public and private sector of project management, including previously held positions at Mirarchi Brothers, Inc. (Warminster, Pa.) and O’Neill Properties Group (King of Prussia, Pa.) Project highlights include a $1.75mm gymnasium addition at Bensalem School District and $750k photovoltaic installations for Borrego Solar (Bucks and Montgomery Counties).

John is a 1997 graduate of Florida Atlantic University and moved to the Philadelphia area in 2007.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves 1991 to 1997. 

In his current role, John will be the Project Manager for various retail and commercial projects.

Ben Lusch joins McDonald Building Company as Project Manager

McDonald Building Company is excited to announce the addition of Ben Lusch as Project Manager.  Ben previously served as Project Manager with T.N. Ward Company (Ardmore, Pa.) and most notably - The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Philadelphia, Pa. completed in October, 2010.  Ben’s project management experience also includes several educational, healthcare, and multi-family housing projects in the Philadelphia region.

Ben is a graduate of Gettysburg College where he received a B.A. in Business and a B.A. in Economics.  He also holds a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.   He is a current member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) and NAIOP, a Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

Ben is currently heading up two projects – Temple II Gratz Street – an $8.5mm historic renovation project and also Sedgley Plaza - $2.5mm retail project – both in Philadelphia, Pa.
